CB Robertson Daniel signed from practice squad to active roster

The Green Bay Packers have signed CB Robertson Daniel to the active roster from the practice squad and placed TE Andrew Quarless on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Friday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Daniel, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound rookie out of Brigham Young, has spent the season on the Packers’ practice squad since being signed on Sept. 7. He originally signed as a non-drafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders on May 8, 2015, but was released on Sept. 1, 2015. He played two seasons at BYU after transferring from De Anza College in Cupertino, Calif. In his two seasons at BYU, Daniel played in 25 games with 22 starts and registered 110 tackles (87 solo), three interceptions, 23 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and one sack.

He will wear No. 31.

Q doesnt think he was injured; so Q was put on IR only because another CB body was needed and the staff saw Q was the most expendable.

Ive been walking around on this planet the last few days thinking Shields is playing and maybe Rollins. This means probably both are not playing.

It could mean they're pretty sure Rollins isn't playing and this is a just in case Shields has a relapse.

Or my super optimist is thinking; GB will have a few healthy scratches, so why not make Daniel one, while at the same time making AZ think Shields isnt playing.

That's all we needed. W/ Hayward, Perry, Raji and Neal working for food the D will keep the lid on Palmer; and our offense will shred the very average AZ defense. Average to Bad DLman except Campbell who's great; average LBs; and an above average secondary less mathieu, we cant lose, unless Mark Sanchez is playing QB.
