This sounds like it was much more serious than reported. Hope Sammy can clear the cobwebs and get back to playing ball soon. Was this a brain bleed or something we didn't receive information on?? Packers love to keep injuries a secret.

I initially figured he broke his arm from the fall, so that he's out this long isn't surprising me, just the nature of the injury.

I think it is fine to be extra precautionary in the case of Sam Shields, who I think rushed back too quickly from a concussion the last time.

Are we going to start throwing rocks at our training staff for protecting his well-being?

I've had several concussions in my life.
I still remember many years ago when I had taken a bad fall on some ice, and my doctor saying "if you have another concussion, it may be your last".
That hit me pretty hard.
I went many years without one, when that woman hit me with her car and my head hit the asphalt.
It took me several months to shake the cobwebs.
Hopefully Shields will be ok.
