I'm thinking after this, Davante can expect to receive a random drug testing.

I still think he's pressing too much.

I don't think Aaron's helping him out too much either.

He should expect a pink slip too. Whatever shine was left on the Davonte turd is completely gone now.

Hell he failed miserably so far this season but it doesn't justify a pink slip.

The one-handed family night grab didn't help this. The reality is he had a whopping 38 catches last year, fewer than our boy Jarrett Boykin. With that said, the spike (among other incidents) have done nothing to ease our disdain towards him, and clearly he has been an absolute dud this year as a #1 or hell even a #6.

I feel he desperately needs a "reset" button. He has no confidence, focus, or mojo. I've been there as an athlete, and seen it with the athletes I've coached. Sometimes you get so down on yourself you just need that offseason to completely reset your mojo.

But if you step back and examine, he is a 23 year old kid that played in a spread offense in college. Physically, he has it, mentally he needs a bit more time. Same with fan favorite Jeff Janis. However, because Janis hasn't been thrust into a role he isn't ready for fans are clamoring for him while calling for Adams's head.

Again, I'm convinced it's tied heavily to "mojo" so will he fight harder for routes and the ball if/when he gets his head on straight, or is this what we have in him, I don't know. I'm confident he's a hell of a lot better than what we're seeing, just not certain what his ceiling is.

His routes this year are garbage. He was much more smooth and crisp last year. Whether it's in his head or it's the ankle injury who knows, maybe a bit of both. I can deal with drops here and there if a player is otherwise producing but he hasn't been. If it's the ankle they should just shut him down because right now he's not helping the team at all by being out there. If they still believe in him then let him rest and give us what he can in the playoffs. All he's doing right now is wasting snaps, maybe a week off will get his head right.

When was Davante Adams the Packers WR1? I don't know how he could have supplanted Randall Cobb as the top WR on the roster.

Adams is a solid WR3 when his head is screwed on straight and his ankles are un-broked. I would have benched him in favor of Jared Abberderris vs Cardinals. Yeah, that's tough having two primary slot WR (Cobb being the other), but you have to roll with guys who are making plays.
