In his first public comments since having play-calling duties removed last week, Green Bay Packers associate head coach Tom Clements said he’ll have a familiar role on the coaching staff.

"If you want to talk about play calling," Clements said, "that’s been addressed."

When asked if the change was difficult to handle on a personal level, Clements demurred. "I’m not going to talk about that," he said.

Instead, Clements reluctantly discussed his role on the coaching staff, which he described as being "back as an assistant coach." During the week, he said, nothing is different. He attends the same quarterback and offensive meetings that he did as the play caller.

"I think you know how it’s different," Clements said when asked about his game-day responsibilities.

He added: "On game day I give Mike (McCarthy) the down and distance, observing what’s going on, making suggestions and go from there."

Sounds like we have an unhappy coach on board.

Furthermore, I wouldn't answer the question either because the media will turn/twist anything you say into a negative to get clicks and attention. Tom Clements was put in a no-win situation when the play calling duties were restored to Mike McCarthy.

Clements has no one to blame but himself. If he was a man, he would acknowledge that. Apparently he really is only a cabana boy.

When Clements head rolls sharpen the ax again and let Winston's roll with it.
