Vernon Davis is on the wrong side of 30 (31) and could still have some speed and is in the final year of his contract. Although, he hasn't caught a TD since Week 1 of the 2014 season I believe. Even that being said, I wouldn't mind shoving off a late round pick for him because let's face it, Richard Rodgers may have already hit his ceiling. I know, I know, it's way too soon to say that on a player who's only played about 20 games, but I just don't see any week to week improvements with him.

Rodgers play has also made us miss Andrew Quarless. Quarless was able to stretch the middle a little bit at least.

What price do you feel is FAIR for both squads to do a trade to send Davis to the Packers? Yes, unlikely, I know, you know, so lets avoid that and play fantasyland! 😃

Yes. Quarless sucks, and while Rodgers is developing, he's nowhere near as fast and can't stretch the field. Vernon is also a better blocker.

I'd prefer to give up a 4th, but since we'll probably pick 30th, I wouldn't mind giving up a 3rd. That's what we got Finley with anyway.

I would pass on Davis in preference of Boldin.

We don't need another WR. We drafted like 4 in the last two years and are already paying two a boatload of money.

If the Packers are to trade for a WR, I really believe it needs to be a guy who has some wheels to put some fear into defenses. This is why in my other thread I said they need to get Jeff Janis on the field and use his one trick pony ass. I think Janis running deep is going to pull some defenders back a little freeing up some drag routes or crossing routes.

boldin would be cheap also.

I like Vernon Davis (assuming he is healthy) in the sense that he can throw a chip block AND still has the speed to get down field. The current TE's don't have that combination therefore don't have the defenses respect.

I like Vernon, but I'd rather see Mike hire a shrink.
