I feel like they might be ahead of the curve on that one, rather than it being a weakness. I'd much rather have a guy like Mathieu coming over from his safety position to play dime corner and put Rashad Johnson on the field, than having your 4th corner be a guy like Bush.

But both comparisons (Mathieu/Bush and steak/turds) are ridiculous... especially if Mathieu and Johnson are the starting safeties.
I'm not very sure what the Cardinals do... but after reading a couple articles... it sounds like Mathieu and Johnson are the starting safeties in the Cardinals defense and "safety" but "
more of a linebacker " Bucannon is their starting ILB (but has the label of safety).
Then when they want a 3rd CB Mathieu drops down to the nickel CB slot position and S Tony Jefferson comes into the game to play Safety. Then in dime Bucannon moves from ILB to the dime/LB role. So it sounds like "safety" Bucannon rarely ever plays true safety.
But the Cardinals might be ahead of the curve in that use a physical "DB" as a coverage ILB like some of us have been suggesting the Packers might want to attempt to do with Hyde and Richardson for years. And even more impressive is the Cards do that and stop the run very well.
