Conventional wisdom says the Packers win this one.
Unless they suffer a post Seattle let down.

Historically I know the Chiefs are definitely a team that's had Green Bay's number. 7-2-1 all time against Green Bay in the regular season. Even since 1992 when the modern resurgence started, we're a dismal 1-4 against them with the lone win coming in 2007 in KC where Favre finally had beaten every other NFL team except his own. That was the game where Woodson had that game winning INT he took back for a TD.

You can go to 3:25 in the video to see it.

Don't need to remind anyone about 2011 when they were our lone regular season loss after being undefeated going into that game. Many felt that loss took a lot of wind out of our sales and lead to us laying a pretty big egg against the Giants in the playoffs that year, although you could easily argue the defense was just not very good and the offense and turnovers had been covering up a lot of the issues it had.

Regardless, it's easy to forget KC was a playoff team last year that got off to a fast start and fizzled towards the end of the season losing in the WC round to Indianapolis. On paper I'd argue we're the better team, but this is always one of those games that's going to be much tougher than a lot of people think.

We need to run the ball effectively. This will be hard against the Chiefs but I believe we can do it. Justin Houston is a monster.

KC has a long rest and should be really upset giving up 5 turnovers and gave up 4 touchdowns in the final couple of minutes of each half.

Pray we don't let the Seattle victory go to our heads. Run D needs to be strong again.

Really good test for our OL and Starks if he is carrying the load. Rodgers is gonna get pressured so hopefully they can use some of those dump passes to Monty that worked well in the 4th Quarter against Seattle.

Like that we have this game at home as KC is one of those teams you just don't want to play in their house.

Think we win it, but it will be closer than we think.

An interesting tidbit  I found

Discussing Smith in the Kansas City chapter of FOA 2015, we introduced a stat we called "Air Minus Need Differential." We have since dumped the convoluted name for something simpler: Air Less Expected, or ALEX for short. This metric looks at how far the quarterback is throwing the ball relative to how many yards he needs for a first down. When Smith threw that swing pass five yards behind the line of scrimmage on third-and-5, that is minus-10 ALEX. Here is a table we used in FOA 2015 to highlight just how ridiculously conservative Smith is on third down since 2011 compared to his peers. (This is the table that didn't print correctly in physical copies of the book; sorry about that.) Keep in mind Smith also has the highest sack rate on third down -- he took one on Thursday night, too -- so if he's not firing too short, he's afraid to even pull the trigger.

You could almost call this a trap game - a decent team at their place, a history of success against the Packers, etc., and the Packers have the potential for a letdown, although I don't expect it. A speed back like Charles scares me more than power like Lynch. Smith has talent, but I don't think he has the discipline of Russell Wilson - more like the majority of QBs around the league who occasionally toss one to the other team. Their D ain't bad, but it ain't Seattle either.

Playing a good team after a big game like Seattle was is always a challenge. I'm glad it's a Monday game, maybe the extra day will help in getting better mentally and physically ready.

Chiefs pass rush is going to overwhelm Don Barclay and force Aaron Rodgers out of his game. Look for Justin Houston to have a big day.
