First of all, I'm very comfortable outscoring opponents - we won a Super Bowl and went 15-1 the next season that way. Aaron Rodgers looked to be totally healthy, and that alone wins practically every game. Seattle next week, however, is the "practically". I don't, however, see their running game as any better than the Bears. While Wilson is indisputably better than Cutler, Cutler was more than decent today. We are at home next week; I say R E L A X.

There were some good and some bad things but the defense wasn't nearly as horrible as some over-reactors are acting like. 3rd down defense and tackling were pretty terrible but they tightened up in the red zone and made some big plays when they were needed late in the game.

I wonder if we'll ever have that feeling like back in '96 when you knew your defense would just mudstomp any opponent? Going into games trying relying on your offense to score 30+ points is not good strategy.

There were some positive glimpses, though. Some qb pressure, Peppers and CM3 look lively, Pennell seems to have potential. I don't expect Shields to be that bad again, and we'll get some people back. Today was a bend but don't break semi-clunker, but with reasons to not give up hope.

Packers defense seems like they're going to continue to struggle against the run. With the Bears having all their best WRs injured or banged up and Cutler at QB, the Packers dared the Bears to throw the ball as they loaded up against the run and the Packers still couldn't stop the run.

The Packers beat the Bears, but in the next couple of weeks the Packers have to face the Seahawks, Chiefs and Rams.... so the Packers defense are in trouble as they're about to face even better running games, with even more powerful OL whom have competent QBs...

I think it needs to be mention that SS Morgan Burnett is one of the Packers best run defenders was out... but still the Packers defense struggled a lot against the run.

Perhaps we could blame the weather or the hot dog man. No, they did not assemble these players. If you buy poor quality ingredients, you can't blame the cook if the meats tough or the bread taste bad. So you have to work with what you have.

Here's an idea, get someone else to select the D players. The Offense is great, but let Dom and Mike pick the Defensive players for a few seasons, because what's in place is just not working.
