Total guts by Cobb. Made a bunch of key catches.

I was disappointed I didn't see Montgomery out there making plays on offense. Looked real good on kick returns though!

Of course it's possible Montgomery might of been able to do some of that... but considering he got zero catches on offense and wasn't being rotated in more for an injured player and a guy that just (re)joined the team, might be the coaches suggesting he's not quite ready.

Playing hurt is a critical part of the game.

It's only moronic for Cobb to play if his shoulder is unstable; that is if there's a material greater risk of injury than he'd have if he was 100% healthy. And this is regardless of his production.

He took one big shot to the shoulder and a couple of smaller ones. When you got an AC joint its hard to reach up.

If Cobb was not faking that "hanging" arm after that first hit, that means the AC Joint flexed and didn't look like it limited at all for the rest of the game. So it hurt like hell [as expected]; but was fine in a few minutes...that is the sign of a less than 100% healed AC joint; BUT A STABLE ONE.

My faith is restored in Dr, McKenzie.

I get the impact he made, but just because he didn't appear to hurt it more/caught some balls doesn't necessarily validate the risk in a week one game.

I'll readily admit I'm no expert on the function of the AC joint so my "analysis" is pretty simplistic (why they pay me the big bucks). That said, you know someone is nursing their shoulder, you see they're hurt, you know it's easy to have hard contact on that shoulder, so it's hard not to draw the initial conclusion that it was a possibly unnecessary risk.

We've got guys who can get it done.

Sat Cobb on my fantasy team this week, starting Odell Beckham instead. 😎
