The NFL desperately wants this story to go away.

I acknowledge that it's conceivable that any one of the claims against the Pats is blown out of proportion.

With headsets, ironically enough, PFT reported the Jets had this issue IN PITTSBURGH during the playoffs a few years ago. They also reported this is a common occurrence at Joe Robbie or whatever the hell the Dolphins' stadium is now. I acknowledge it's possible to happen elsewhere. With that said, it's curious timing, coming off deflategate, and me reading about this for months, then it happens the first game.

Any of the situations, aside from the signal spying, I could see as being explained away. It's that we hear these things so often - and I don't buy the whole "but they're good" argument. Many teams have been good, not nearly as many complaints as the Pats. If you have some time, read through this SI article Pats history  that outlines the sum of so many small parts, including the Packers being suspicious of them filming their pre game.

I'm not even necessarily saying this negates their success. They've won because they're disciplined, work hard, and have key leaders at key spots in the organization. With that said, I no longer doubt that they push the boundaries, and as the SI article says, walk a mile to gain an inch.

Musccy said "People would search for flaws in Ghandi if he was winning too many games."
But you can bet Ghandi was a man of character and would never over inflate footballs or mess with headsets.

The reason the Patriots get scrutinized so much is because they have a HISTORY of ignoring rules. They seem to think rules don't apply to them, because they are just so darn special.

They will use/abuse anything they can to gain an edge. If it's within the rules, fine, if not, I have NO respect for them.

But what has now been proven in the NFL, Goodell has NO control and anything goes. So might as well throw out the rule book. It serves no purpose.
It's like the B.S. gun control laws.......they ONLY effect those that follow the laws, not the criminals.

Thus ends my sermon for ther day.🤣

Didn't feel like having another thread about Patriots so stuffing this here. You heard the accusations about Patriots bugging the visitor locker room right? Get this ...

NFL swept Jets locker room for bugs before Sunday’s game
---
Patriots have become concerned that a team eventually will plant bugs on its own and claim that the Patriots put them there. This has prompted the Patriots to ask the league to certify before each game that the visiting locker room is clean before an opposing team enters. Per the source, the NFL has declined to do this.

And Commissioner is worried about the integrity of the game, but refuses to equality and fairness here?

Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
beast (20-Jun) : Hmm 🤔 re-signing Walker before Tom? Sounds highly questionable to me.
