In my opinion, GB's Linebackers are still a mystery. I've yet to see any sustained play that has impressed me so far. There have been flashes of the great along with play the makes me scratch my head. When will we see the level of play step up to another level ? Matt Forte, A. Peterson, M.Lynch, Melvin Gordon, C.J.Anderson and many more are coming. Will GB's Linebackers be able to meet the challenge ?

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Now I know why Uffda mentioned he'd be interested in seeing Ripkowski play LB. Watching his ST tackles, he tackles like a freakin' linebacker. In any case, I believe Jake Ryan will ascend quickly.

I think I know what you feel but I have the same impression for the whole defense, with the exception of maybe Sam Shields. I think they are all a "bunch of guys". If some of them can't play others can do practically the same. I have no idea if this is good or bad, I would like to think this is very good because we have depth and a lot of talent but I can also think nobody really stands out.

It will be an interesting season to see how this defense plays.

I have faith in Elliot and Hubbard, they bring something different to position, a spark if you want to call it that way. The spark I can't see in Perry, Palmer or Thomas.

Preseason all about player evaluation.
Barrington is the only LB I have seen playing the sane postion when he is on the field.
All The other young guys have been playing multiple positions.
They are being evaluated.

We will see how Mike and Dom decide how to play this 3rd game.
They decide to play the 1st half like a regular season game we May get a glimpse of what the starting lineup will look like.

I wonder when Palmer gets to take the club off. Honestly, he is practically always in position to make plays after making the switch inside, and I would love to see how his production improves once the club comes off. Perhaps later in the year he becomes an unexpected stud at that position. Who knows.

I am seeing more outside linebackers perform better than I am seeing of inside linebackers. I'm thinking Clay Matthews III is taking it easy hoping that LB Jake Ryan or LB Carl Bradford make him less needed at ILB. Unfortunately, that is not happening as of yet.

Are my old eyes deceiving me, or have I seen Mulumba, Hubbard, etc. - OLBs moving inside in certain sets?

I have always liked this Capers kind of "keep 'em guessing" type of D. It got us through some times of poor personnel; Now that arguably, the talent level is better, doing the same switching should maximize the benefit.

Our front 7 will continue to be shit as it has been during most of Dom's tenure.

Don't kid yourself, it won't change.
