I now cringe every time the guy drops back to punt, I'm expecting either a shank or a low line drive that's easily returned. He is going to cost us a lot of field position this year. Keep the fourth quarterback and have him hold for Crosby, and sign a college kid with a big leg. Do it now before the season starts.

With well over 100 colleges playing football and approx. 1/4 graduating punters every year, there must be someone or 2 or 3 available.

Phins saved 1.3M by cutting Brandon Fields. On his worst day he’s better than Mastay.

In his probowl year [2012] averaged 50, then 48 in 2013 and in an off year had 46 avg [39.6 8Net] w/ 21 of 58 inside 20 in 2014. Had 3 career blocks, 1 in 2014; 2 career fumbles 1in ’12 and 1 in ’13.

Mastay was 44.1/38.6 w/ 14 of 49 inside the 20 w/ 2 blocks in 14 and 2 career fumbles.

Not sure how much punting in Miami v. Green bay affects things; but he does play 1 game in NE, Buff and NY each year.

If we get rid of Masthay, we need to find somebody who can hold. Hey, let's try Barclay - he's got a lot of experience holding.
