I think I read somewhere that many NFL players do not wear cups. Seems crazy to me, but I think they said it slows them down a little or restricts their movement. I couldn't imagine playing without a cup.

My high school coach required we wear one. There were a couple times during two a days that he would take a helmet and "cup check" us.

When growing up my parents would buy one for me every so often but I never wore them and don't think anyone on my football team did. Once in a while someone would get hit in the nuts but it wasn't often enough to deal with big piece of plastic down there, that always seemed uncomfortable to me in the few minutes I try it on to mainly humor my dad that I had one if I needed it.

A 3rd round rookie, who has yet to play in a real game, makes a rookie mistake twice and get's quoted ! IMO, the focus should be on what is happening with the Packer defense.
