What was your job in sports broadcasting?

Quickly...
I worked with the following people in the broadcast world:
Pete Rose
Dan Issel
Doug Moe
Tom Green
Pat O'Brien
James Brown
Jay Mariotti
Jim Litke
Paul Allen
The Fabulous Sports Babe
Brian Baldinger
Tim Brando
and some others you've never heard of. I produced the shows of Pete's, JB's, Fab Sports Babe, Dan Issel, Paul Allen, etc. Guys like Mariotti I produced in group form. I've been a reporter, stringer, co-host, but producing/executive producing was my thing.
I left the biz in 2002. After leaving... I worked from home for FOX'S BEYOND THE GLORY (Al Michaels son, Steve, tracked me down and had me work on some things for him) and was sought after by THE BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW but turned them down because I didn't want to raise kids in LA.
Gil Brandt was a huge supporter and help to me throughout the majority of my career. I spoke with Gil nearly every day for many many years. Spoke and formed relationships with many agents over the years. Got to know some players and coaches, too.
Had a ball with the stuff but once I started having children my priorities changed and I left the field. Some regrets as I fit really well and understood it.
Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
