Your conclusions regarding PFF are based on your own biased and subjective views of EDS, so its a bit silly to act like this somehow nullifies the work PFF does. Additionally, one player out of thousands that you personally perceive to be incorrectly graded, really, this is the best you have?

Which team do you work as a scout for again? What is your background that makes you a more credible source?

As to why you should provide a better source, you're the one attacking PFF in the first place. If they are so bad, you must know of a better source, but its clear at this point that you do not.

Sorry, but I trust me more than a jolly good fellow from the UK who studied ecology. What is my background? I worked in sports broadcasting for several years at a local and national level. I understand the NFL world pretty well for someone who isn't in it from being around it for the years I was. I've been down there in the bowels of Lambeau...sitting right there just a few feet away from Holmgren, Favre, White, etc. Good times. I'm just confident enough in saying I don't believe the ecology major from the UK has more ability to determine things than I do. It's nice that's his hobby and PFF has a nice little site that people like to peak at to draw conclusions on players from. To make them into gospel or internalize their ratings as "facts" is pretty dangerous imo.

You should feel as confident as the chap from the UK that you know what makes a good football player.

Quickly...

Pete Rose
Dan Issel
Doug Moe
Tom Green
Pat O'Brien
James Brown
Jay Mariotti
Jim Litke
Paul Allen
The Fabulous Sports Babe
Brian Baldinger
Tim Brando

and some others you've never heard of. I produced the shows of Pete's, JB's, Fab Sports Babe, Dan Issel, Paul Allen, etc. Guys like Mariotti I produced in group form. I've been a reporter, stringer, co-host, but producing/executive producing was my thing.

I left the biz in 2002. After leaving... I worked from home for FOX'S BEYOND THE GLORY (Al Michaels son, Steve, tracked me down and had me work on some things for him) and was sought after by THE BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW but turned them down because I didn't want to raise kids in LA.

Gil Brandt was a huge supporter and help to me throughout the majority of my career. I spoke with Gil nearly every day for many many years. Spoke and formed relationships with many agents over the years. Got to know some players and coaches, too.

Had a ball with the stuff but once I started having children my priorities changed and I left the field. Some regrets as I fit really well and understood it.
