-Michael always talks about waiting about 10 practices before getting too excited about a young player, so I’ll temper my enthusiasm when it comes to outside linebacker Andy Mulumba. But the third-year pro is off to an impressive start. The former Eastern Michigan star, who missed most of last season with a torn ACL, has been around the ball consistently. Mulumba looks stronger and a bit quicker than he did a year ago. He’s distancing himself from Jayrone Elliott, and if he continues to make plays, he might even start narrowing the gap on Mike “DNP” Neal.
