Same injury that knocked Greg Jennings out for several games.

Jarrett Bush is in Arizona doing exactly what you would expect he'd be doing.

At the Fischer Institute of Physical Therapy and Performance, the free-agent cornerback is running 100-, 80- and 60-meter sprints. He's bench-pressing, squatting, power-cleaning and cycling through defensive back drills. There's yoga, acupuncture, changes to his diet.

Bush calls this his own personal "training camp." There's a sense of relief in his voice, too.

For two years, Bush thought he had a groin pull. He'd rest, return and the pain lingered. The confusion lingered. So this off-season he sought a second opinion in Sacramento, Calif., and an MRI exam revealed a sports hernia. Free agency began March 10, he had surgery March 17 and now ... he's waiting.

This line here "The sports hernia — which the Packers' medical staff thought was a groin pull — wasn't the result of one play, one cut." is quite telling. What the hell is wrong with the Packers medical staff? Are these misdiagnoses common in the medical profession?

Interesting they didn't release the specifics on Johnathan Franklin's career ender.

Ive refused to get surgery for the time being; but that could change; gets harder to cope with even with various exercises I do and support belt etc ...

'btw I wouldnt get the regular mesh surgery' - Im leaning toward a surgery called dresden; sholdice is another kind that looks good too. But both of these only do it in certain places in the world thou.

Im not a hernia expert but I agree - what are the medical staff doing with having a diagnosis of a groin pull last years. He could of had surgery etc alot sooner.

Dulak, that's something that has bothered me too. How many times have we seen players with injuries, and instead of getting the needed surgury right away after the season, they put it off where it ends up with the player not ready for the next season?
You'd think they would want to do it right away, so that it wouldn't interfere with the next season.

In TCM, there are two hernia etiologies. 1: Cold in the liver meridian and 2: Spleen qi deficiency not upbearing/not holding things in place.

I was born with an inguinal hernia, a few years back I didn't have a cup holder so I drove holding an iced beverage in my lap. It was weird, the hernia became a problem. Got a nice herbal formula though, straightened me out.

I've heard bad things about the surgery for umbilical hernias, but not about regular inguinal ones.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
