The pitchforks were out and the torches were lit after the 2009 season. Packers fans wanted cornerback Jarrett Bush off the team. I admit that I was one of those Packers fans holding a torch high in one hand and a pitchfork in the other. I was sick of seeing Bush stumbling three yards behind [...]

I was NOT one of those calling for Bush to be cut back then. He has found his niche - special teams, and he has justified being kept. Just the same, every year is a whole new situation, and this could be the year that it comes down to a choice between Bush and some young talented prospect. In that event, I might advocate cutting him even with his success. Special teams play is a matter of learning and motivation, so some faster stronger young guy SHOULD be able to do better than Bush.

I only hated him playing in the Secondary. Never had an issue with him playing Special Teams.

As long as he keeps downing the ball inside the 5 yard line and doesn't see the field as a DB. I'll keep the torch and pitchfork in my shed.

Heath Miller,

The guy Jarett was SUPPOSSED to cover lost him and was running WIDE OPEN.

It is amusing that in the biggest play of Bush's pitiful career as a DB, he still managed to completely blow the coverage.

[palm]

I mean, props to him for reading Big Ben, but if he had just been looking off the coverage for a pump fake... Big play.

Jarrett's finest hour.
