If fans here are more active in reporting offensive posts, it will continue to be a pleasant environment where everyone can voice their various opinions while still being respected at the same time. One goal here is to be able to discuss any topic without name calling, labeling or personal attacks. I think that is something we would all enjoy. If someone wants to ask a political question, they shouldn't have to read through responses of how "those stupid effing leftists" blah blah. That kind of stuff just ruins the authors point and kills the topic.
Yes, I know we have hit a bumpy road in the past, but I've decided to back down on some of my core administrative approaches. I have always hated editing someones post, but perhaps if they make a good point and then a personal attack, it is better to edit out the personal attack and leave the good point? It feels icky, but it might be what is best for all.
