Buckeye you are so right. But, I’m not sure the discussion is wasted.
I take a “for better or worse” view on my Packer brethren. In some ways it’s like one’s kids: they may disappoint you, but ya still love ‘em and ya hope one day they’ll grow up and be more responsible.
In other ways it’s like dealing with a KKK grand dragon. They may have some canned snippet phrases shrouded in Christianity that may resonate w/ some. But the more ya get them talking and responding to [or avoiding] legitimate factual objective argument, the more that the world learns that the KKK sentiment is grounded in pure evil hate and an irrational basic amoral disrespect for mankind.
Pure flaming should be ignored; but concealed in the bombastic irrational rhetoric are what otherwise might be legitimate criticisms of TT, EG, that he does not fully utilize FA; that he is too risk averse and will not make that key move to win; etc. Now will you ever be able to convince a KKK dragon that Blacks are equal through rational argument? NEVER; because he didn’t acquire his beliefs through rational thought. Likewise, you’ll never be able to convince someone that Ted Thompson is good, who acquired their hate for Ted Thompson by an irrational basis [EG because he canned their childhood idle or didn’t activate himself and field an onside kick]. But, some have acquired negative opinions of something Ted Thompson did and/or did not do through rational thinking; these people can move people like me, who tend to believe Ted Thompson is infallible [LOL-remember the first step to sobriety is to admit ya got a problem-LOL] , to a more middle position and vice-verso.
Creative Concept: The ONLY path to winning a SB in this Cap environment is to accumulate numerous good to great 1st contract studs. Once this axiom is accepted; then just about every move/nonmove Ted Thompson makes is understood for its prowess.
