Green Bay — When you last saw Scott Tolzien in a game that mattered, everything was a foggy haze.

I feel pretty good about Tolzien.

I don't think he'll shit himself like BJ Coleman, and I think he's got the physical tools to not wash out like Graham Harrell.

He'll be somewhere in between Rich Gannon and Matt Hasselbeck. I think he'll be able to play.

I hope Tolzien spends the whole season being the world's greatest clipboard holder. If he did have to play, however, I would have ten times the confidence in him as in Flynn and a hundred time more than in _____ (I can't even think of the name of that piece of crap we tried a couple of years ago.)

He's the backup. If he has to start more than 2-3 games, the Packers are hosed.

Just as they would be with 99% of the backup QBs, and probably half of the starting QBs, in the league.

It is what it is. What are there, three QBs worth drafting before the 5th round in this draft? (Four if you count Petty, which IMO you shouldn't.) And I'd rather be with Tolzien (or, for that matter, Flynn), as Rodgers' backup, than I'd be with any of those four except Mariota.

He's not Aaron, and I don't want to have to see him on the field, but if he had to play, I feel pretty confident he could get us through. It'll be interesting to see how he looks this preseason.

I'd have to agree. Being the only other QB on the roster right now gives him the inside track at being the top backup.
