Good deal for Corey on his 5th rd rookie contract. He definitely earned it.

In terms of the cap it's not a lot for any individual but, in totality it adds up to $3.5M paid out to Packer players. Does anyone know if that money counts/will count against last years' cap? Perhaps lowering the rollover to this year?

GREEN BAY — As a rookie fifth-round pick, Corey Linsley received a $195,000 signing bonus and played the 2014 season for a rookie minimum base salary of $420,000.

On Friday, the Green Bay Packers center earned an additional $339,585 in performance-based pay after starting all 18 of the Packers' games — and playing every one of the Packers' 1,216 offensive snaps — as a rookie.

Linsley's payout was the second-most received by any player league-wide. Buffalo offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson received $373,671. Four other players received $300,000 or more.

Linsley, who didn't take a single snap with the No. 1 offense until the presumptive starter at center, JC Tretter, suffered a knee injury in the third preseason game, was a godsend to the Packers' offense. By season's end, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was lobbying for him to be named to the Pro Bowl. ...

I just read another article that sounds like the money comes from the league and has no impact on the cap.
