It's Uffda's style that illicits the response he gets. Uffda's a fan, his Rolle/Goodson argument was not based on the evaluation of play; but other silly fan thinking stuff, EG, Ted Thompson keeps picks over UDFA regardless of talent and Rolle's 3 INT ipso facto proved he had more talent than Goodson. I invited him several times to engage in a discussion about the way the 2 men back-peddled, flipped hips, mirrored receivers and played the ball, to no avail. Goodson's play this year is 200% better than last, he's not bad right now and if he keeps ascending he will be a stud. This was impossible for Rolle.

Alot of self-proclaimed GB fan experts do what Uffda did. They take a position like on Rolle; then when Rolle gets 3 INT or Goodson gets you hear, "I told ya so." Even if Goodson did not ascend and was cut in August, it was still the right move for TT, because Goodson had more upside at the same point in their careers.

Oh and the same challenge was offered w/ Damarious Randall; Uddfa just droned on about how you cant convert a college S to a CB, which as we all know is normally true; and initially I was shocked they drafted a S. But good talent elevation saw that Randall's coverage skills were predictably incredible; if you just watch Randall for a few plays one could see he had the skills to be a really good CB.

Some guys look smart and probably are smart spouting measurables, past trends, statistics, etc.; but when that stuff becomes a substitute for WATCHING THE FILM, then, well, let's jut say, it's okay for the fan to do this.

I like the guy who sticks his head out there with a strong take and can be wrong than the guy who says nothing.

That being said. Goodson AND Rolle were and are garbage. You can throw Davon House in the group of being over rated by Packers fans too. I said it then, say it now and will continue to say it until I'm green in the face!!! (see what I did there)

but it was such a huge mistake to lose Rolle. Just imagine how this season would be going if only we'd had Rolle to play 5-10 snaps this year.

As intelligent as you and he thinks he is, he can't hold Ted Thompson's jock when it comes to evaluating NFL talent.
