Let's not forget Boykin was on the roster last year before he was injured and Adams moved past him.

Nelson, Cobb, Adams,Abbey, and Janis only make 5.
The Packers have carried 6 WR's in the past.
Again I don't think there is any interest, but would you rather have Boykin or Johnson?

Could come down to that.

Don't discount what a veteran can bring to a team of young guys.

All you have to do is what Julius Peppers brough5 last year.

NFL network is reporting Johnson and Frank Gore are both heading to Indy to talk, so this is all probably just filler.

I agree bringing in a vet can help. I hope we can restructure Peppers contract so he can come back. I think Rodgers is the General that runs the offense. A 2-time MVP commands respect.

why would we have to cut or IR one of them? Is there a rule saying we can't carry 6 wrs? Nelson, Cobb, Adams,Abby, Janis, and Johnson as a mentor.

hahahaha Buckeye beat me to the punch lol :colors:

This is good stuff..
Everyone giving their opinions and making good points.

The roster is now just starting to take shape.

Will The Packers go back to just 2 active QB's ?

That would open a spot up to Carry 6 WR's

Will be interesting to see how things develop.

Personally I think Johnson wants a ring and to team with a QB that can play the game.. his list screams he wants a shot at a ring. Would love to have him on the club.. but not sure that we can compete with even a bargain deal for a veteran of his caliber.

Who doesn't love Andre Johnson? That guy is a major medical risk. Has he ever finished a game? That's hyperbole for the mad googlers who want to comeback and tell me just how many games he's finished in his career.

Andre Johnson is never going to be signed by TT. He would make for an interesting "on paper" addition. Not sure it would work out so well in reality. I don't believe Houston runs a WCO nor has he ever played in one, if memory serves.

I agree with those above who said...IF we hadn't signed Randall...but we did, so he ain't coming.

Jarrett Boykin has been mentioned in this thread. He was the toast of the town prior to last season...now, he's a scrub looking for a job. Our "Alshon Jeffery" ain't even cracking our Top 6 as it stands now. We do need a legit WR after Jordy and Randall. Davante ain't it...yet. His regression at the end of the season was alarming to me. He is the kind who could very easily bust for us. There is no guarantee he improves just because he's here for year 2. I have higher hopes for Abby and Janis than I do Davante, at this point, and there were points where I thought Davante might be something. His play in Miami was his best of the season.

Kubiak employed the WCO during his time with the Texans (and employed other disciples of the WCO as his OC, like Mike Sherman).

So, uh, for most of his career Andre Johnson has played in a version of the WCO.

Your baseless and factless assertions are starting to get old, and I've only begun regularly frequenting this site again for a day. At the very least, try to base your opinion on actual facts.

Anyways back to the subject... I don't know if these are correct but interesting if true. About Kubiak teaching WCO to Elway and Kubiak running the most traditional West Coast Offense of any team while with the Texans.

Kubiak did not build the Texans offense solely around his quarterback. Kubiak, a former assistant under Mike Shanahan in San Francisco and Denver, employs the same West Coast offense passing game that Shanahan used in San Francisco. The foundation of the Texans offense, however, is a running game that has roots in a later iteration of the Kubiak/Shanahan collaboration — the late-1990s Denver Broncos.

When Shanahan went to Denver in 1995, he brought his West Coast passing plays with him and enlisted Kubiak to help teach them to quarterback John Elway.

I was in Miami for that game and he was good in that, but the 2 others standout more to me.
