Too much money, but all the Sallies will be happy. Get House and Bulaga signed.

Sounds like a lot of money, and if it is a true 10m a year contract I am very surprised and hope this doesn't come back to haunt us. I don't believe he is worth it, and could look like Ted panicked and overpaid.

Aaron should get a "High Five" for this signing... I have a feeling and am pretty sure his decision was made, based ( At least a little.) on who would be best at getting him the ball.

17 Million guaranteed. That is the key number.

Until all the details come out let's make it easy and say 16mil.

That's 4 mil a year

I'm betting his base will look something like
2015...2ml
2016...5mil
2017...7mil
2018..10mil

That would be a very friendly contract, cap hit not to much the 1st 3 years, with everyone knowing that 4th year will be reworked.
Everyone is happy!

#WORTHEVERYPENNY

Not surprised...cupboard was far too bare to let him walk.

A relief that one of our CORE guys is back. So, it's a million more per season than we offered? If that's the case this EXACTLY why FLEXIBILITY is important. Had Ted Thompson really stuck to his guns on 9 million as was reported we lose a star for one million more per.

Just as I suspected... couldn't let him walk. Will be very curious to read all the Ted Thompson sychophants that were hailing his fiscal responsibility. Kinda in a tough position to comment now. Should be some good reading.

RC18 is back in TitleTown.

So you think you finally got one right.

Congratulations.

Quit coming off as this self righteous "I know more than anyone else" clown.

Ever think that The Packers knew exactly what they were doing?

I'm negotiating a contract, I'm not going to put my final number on the board first.

I'm. Gonna come in low to start and wait for a response.

That's exactly what happened.

Happens every year.
Teams leak their starting numbers, agents leak theirs.

In this case they came to a happy agreement.

Of course you being so much more informed then the rest of us, you already knew that.

This is great news.
Now, hopefully the rest of the pieces fall into place and the Packers can take care of some unfinished business.

We should be ok overpaying for a few guys here and there because our last couple of drafts have gone pretty well and the only "must sign" players we have becoming free agents next year are Daniels and possibly Hayward. Overpaying in FA gets you in trouble when you do it with someone who doesn't produce at all and that isn't going to happen with our "overpaid" guys like Cobb, Shields, and so far Matthews.

Lucky for us we've got a top 10 WR on this team who is going to be nothing but happy that the #2 is making more than him and we don't have to worry about him throwing a diva hissy fit.

Adam Schefter just reported Cobb is staying in Green Bay.

4 years- $40 million

As far as the signing I am ok with it but I was actually hoping we would have improved our offense. The likes of an Andre Johnson and Julius Thomas on this team really made me feel good but now I am back to the idea of ya we will make the playoffs but won't win the big one. We once again will have to go thru Seattle and that is Rodgers kryptonite. Well now that free agency is over time to get hyped up for the draft and then be disappointed lol. I see it already Cooper sitting there by some miracle and Ted Thompson passes on him for some guy that was injured last year lol.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Mucky Tundra (21h) : Chicago Bears have asked the Dallas Cowboys permission to interview Mike McCarthy for head coaching vacancy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : The winners page that is

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : That might be it for the Vikings
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : BALL DON'T LIE

Zero2Cool (5-Jan) : Owner ... love it
Zero2Cool (5-Jan) : Mayo was the guy they groomed for HC and one of the reasons they let Bill go.
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Pats have the #4 pick, lots of cap space and Maye at QB; should fetch some attention
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Well that didn't take long; Jerod Mayo out as Patriots HC
Zero2Cool (5-Jan) : I would expect it to be higher in favor of Eagles
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Thst line seems...generous
Zero2Cool (5-Jan) : Eagles -3.5 over Packers in Wildcard Round
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Did it though? Pokes beat the Commanders on the road with Cooper Rush previously
Zero2Cool (5-Jan) : That gives them their best chance
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Cowboys starting Trey Lance at QB vs Commanders; GB vs Philly in the Wild Card incoming!
Mucky Tundra (4-Jan) : Stinks for Lloyd. Hoping he comes back strong for next year
Zero2Cool (3-Jan) : Packers placed Marshawn Lloyd on reserve non-football illness list
Zero2Cool (3-Jan) : Luke Getsy been helping Packers defense. He's former OC Bears/Raiders and our old QB coach
beast (2-Jan) : Thanks dfosterf, I'm still kicking myself for last week, as I forgot to change to pick Vikings and Lions... after putting in a holding spot.
Zero2Cool (2-Jan) : First alternate: Elgton Jenkins Other alternates: Jordan Love, Kenny Clark, Keisean Nixon, Tucker Kraft, Josh Myers, Jaire Alexander
