GREEN BAY, Wis. -- By releasing linebackers Brad Jones and A.J. Hawk within the past week, the Green Bay Packers gained $7.2 million in salary-cap space for this season.
So where does that leave them relative to the cap?
According to the latest figures from ESPN Stats & Information, the Packers have $32,350,891 in unused cap space based on the projected salary cap of $143 million announced by the NFL Players Association last week.
Only nine teams have more cap space available.
