Agree Cheesey, we would have to be the luckiest team on earth to have a 3rd HOF QB in a row. I'm with the "pay the man" crowd. If we lose Cobb and Adams steps in how good will he be without Jordy and Cobb pulling coverage away, how good will our 3rd receiver be, if we draft a receiver - who are we not able to draft because of it etc. Wolf thought he had players he could plug in place of Sean Jones, Desmond Howard, Andre Rison and Keith Jackson, it cost us a Super Bowl. Wolf has stated what he regrets most is that he didn't surround Favre with more talented receivers. I understand there is a limit but I sure hope they can work it out. Yes, let's strike while the irons hot, if we can.

Wolf did a great job, but yeah, he could have given Favre more weapons. Freeman emerged from iirc the third round, but took a shit when he got the big contract. ONe that people don't remember is that Freeman was involved in a car accident, under suspicion of drunk driving one year. Hit a pole in the parking lot of Bay Park Square iirc. Always thought he might have had a head injury there, might have effected his reflexes. More likely, he just went into the shitter.
I think Ted will pick up a TE this year, maybe a WR. Keep in mind, Boykin's coming back, Janis should take a step and Abby will be there too. Cobb would be smart to come back though. This team shits itself way too damn much, but having Aaron throw him the ball is a huge boost to his career.
And btw, it's no coincidence that we've had two HoF QBs back to back. Wolf put Holmgren and Favre together as part of a plan, the same way Ted went out and found Mike to develop Aaron. Sure, there's luck involved with that sort of shit, but that wasn't happenstance.
Get good people, let them do their jobs. Ron Wolf wrote that in his book on management.
“Winning is not a sometime thing, it is an all the time thing. You don't do things right once in a while…you do them right all the time.”
