Jerry Montgomery Leaves Oklahoma to Join Packers Staff 

I wonder what he'll be dong in GB? Another thing to keep on eye is whether or not Jordan Phillips pops up on GBs draft radar now.

Reading a couple Oklahoma forums it seems like their fans really liked him.

It's encouraging to see them bring in some new, young blood with solid credentials (according to Sooner's fans).
Although he will most likely start out on the lowest rung, like quality control assistant, fetching the doughnuts much like Gruden and Reid did under Holmgren.
He probably won't bloom for a few years.

I am descended from the original Montgomery family (grandson of Ragnar, if any of you watch Vikings on History channel) so I can only assume we are somehow distantly related and that he is therefore really smart and a badass. Or a really bad smartass, I forget which.

I don't know what kind of Defense philosophy has, but the fact that the Packers also interviewed Aranda, the Badgers DC and a Capers disciple says to me that the Packers like the scheming, trickery, and compensation that Capers does, and they want to have a similar kind of guy in house for when Capers retires. If that's the way it is, I heartily approve.
