I don't know. Reece can't block. He won AP last year, but if you look at his numbers this year, they're far from impressive. Even for a FB.
Same goes for Tolbert, who's being used more as a HB, but had a pretty disappointing season.
Guys like Hynoski and Felton have been very good this season, but they're 'just' blockers.
The great thing about Kuhn is that he can do it all. He's not the most punishing blocker in the run game, but he does clear lanes for Lacy. He's not as athletic as Reece, but he is a great check down and more. I haven't seen him screw up a pass block once this season (but I may be wrong on that one). Lastly, he can pick up the tough yards when needed. That they still have him run it with Lacy on the roster is a huge vote of confidence.
The whole Kuuuuuuhhhhhhnnnn stuff helps, but FB is always a position that's rather hard to justify sending one guy instead of the other. Kuhn is a jack of all trades and I reckon that's what got him in. Last year, they got the FB/HB hybrids in. The year before that the pure blockers. There's something to be said for all of them.
