Green Bay — All week, one tight end will dominate the national conversation: Rob Gronkowski. He's the 6-foot-6, 265-pound problem for the Green Bay Packers.

At this point, we've got plenty of film on Quarless. We know what he can do, and what he can't do.

He's solid, but he's closer to Ed West than Keith Jackson.

I hope to turn the clock back to my twenties so I can get drunk, chase tail, and act like an ass. Well, I still act like an ass, but that other shit isn't happening. Hey Quarless, if you just catch the shit that hits you on the hands and then fall down without fumbling, that'd be great.

This is not as far-fetched as it seems. Quarless may not be as good as Gronkowski, but ...... 1. He's what I always said the Packers needed instead of Finley - He's a fairly dependable receiver, a more conventional TE who can get the short and medium yardage as needed, even if he isn't the deep threat Finley was and Gronkowski is. and 2. The Packers have better WRs than the Patriots. We should be able load up and stop Gronkowski with less emphasis on their wideouts. Quarless, on the other hand, will get a lot less attention because of Nelson and Cobb.

I'm not saying Quarless will do it, but I'm thinking for the Packers to win, one of the lesser guys is going to have to step up and play huge as Belichick is either going play cover 2 and make the running game beat them, or he's going to take away Nelson/Cobb and focus on getting pressure on the OL to pressure both Rodgers and Lacy in that way.

Cover 2 should open the middle/running game, but I think Belichick is going to do the other one and... Have Revis shut one of the WRs down one on one and double team the other. This should open all the lesser target guys.

So I'm think for the Packers to win one (or more) of the back-ups to step and have a big game.
• WR Davante Adams
  • TE Andrew Quarless
  • TE Richard Rodgers
  • RB James Starks
  • WR Jarrett Boykin
  • TE Brandon Bostick
  •
This or the Lions games are the ones were we might need someone to step up before the playoffs. If Boykins or Bostick are going to step it up, for the playoff run this game might be the time to do it. Or anything saved for Adams, Quarless or Rodgers that the Patriots would have on tape.

Or heck maybe even anything saved for Janis on some deep balls.

Also I was thinking if they have anything planned/saved for Harris to try it against the Lions DL as it's tough to run against. So using him as a dump off guy or running to the outsides (instead of Lacy trying it). Basically like the Bears did early on with Forte but, we got Rodgers and more/other weapons as well.
