This is a slumgulleon dish, that is so easy. My wife got me a pint of lobster bisque from the grocery store. I like lobster, a lot, but there is no lobster in the bisque. It's just liquid. She had a piece of salmon in the fridge. I don't even like salmon, except for breakfast with onions, cheese and scrambled eggs. ANYWAY, I took that piece of salmon, fried it in butter, took a couple of servings of instant rice and cooked them, added that lobster bisque...

That was VERY good, very fast.

To Tea or not to Tea, that is the question ? Weather it is nobler to dislike a thing and keep ones gob shut or to open it and display the true nature of one's lack of restraint. Sweet or not, many prefer it to mucky tundra water.

Still looking for a good chili recipe . [neener]

Sweet Tea? Utterly disgusting! šŸ‘Ž

wpr, where do the inlaws live in TN? (Just curious, you mentioned in the Moar Randomness thread they live somewhere near Paris)

I do all the cooking. I actually enjoy it. One of the thing I like to do is buy spaghetti sauce (prego Italian sausage) and then add a bunch of "extras". Like diced tomatoes, oregano, tomato paste and mushrooms. It makes a great sauce, and is easy. You can doctor it up any way you like!
Then top it with some shredded cheese.
Yum!

What is your favorite vegetable and how do you like it prepared ? Meat always gets the spotlight, let's highlight the less praised but loved side dish.

I have always liked green beans, anyway they can be served . What do you like ?

I love a little corn bread.

Put some butter on it and a little of honey.
Love to dab up the gravy with it.

My MIL's mom was the queen of cooking in any part of the country but she roots were deep into the TN soil. She was about 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide and her corn bread would melt on the way to your mouth.
My momma's family made Polenta. That's the Italian version. Mom served it at breakfast with a little maple syrup. We also had it at dinner a lot.

I put cream style corn in the mix, a feast with Fried Chicken , string beans, and some apple butter. Ice Water with a slice of lemon and finish with lime jello, topped with whipped cream !

SOMEONE STOP ME !!! [grin1]
