Hard to pick just one in each category for me so I'll pick a pair of each...

Most impressed: Janis and Elliott... Janis just flies and has done some special things in practices and Elliott looks the part and has done exciting things against scrubs.

Least impressed: Davante Adams and Khyri Thornton...for 2nd and 3rd rounders they've done next to nothing. It is upsetting to read two guys I really liked at WR, Cody Latimer and Donte Moncrief, have been very impressive in their respective camps. We may have finally gotten a WR wrong.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Cool. I'll go a little outside the norm. Or try to.

Most Impressed With: Bryan Bulaga - He has picked up even better than where he left off. I am happy to see that. He has been solid all pre-season long.

Least Impressed With: Casey Hayward - Surprise. I am so high on this player. Well my expectations are higher for him than almost any other player and I feel like he is just getting the rust off at the moment. Still, I haven't seen much. Seen more from that Rolle kid lately.

I was going to say I haven't really been impressed much positively or negatively by this offseason... its mostly just been the normal calm other than fans getting overly hyped by a few back-ups (which is normal)... but then I thought of some...

Least Impressed with Randall Cobb... where has his flashy plays been? Is the contract year thing effecting him negatively? Saving it for the season? Did he not fully recover from his injury last year? What's up?

Most impressed with OL coach Campen's sarcastic explanation of the "Campen-Moss blowup" (assuming it was sarcasm).

"I was admiring Winston's beard," Campen said. "He's got a new beard this year, does he not? Yeah, It's an impressive beard. I wanted to get a closer look and took the opportunity to do that. Hey, it's an intense practice. Everything is fine. It's no big deal. I like his beard. It's nice."

Campen according to ESPN  wrote:

Good job not letting the media make too big of a deal about it...

MOST: BJ Raji, Tolzien, Janis, Richard Rodgers, Abbraderis, DuJuan Harris, Tretter, maybe Bakhtiari.

LEAST: Datone Jones, although he did seem active in the last game, Bradford, although he's finally getting a shot inside, Kevin Dorsey, Chris Harper (gone), Lyerla (gone), Heyward, he's looked ok, but not elite like "before" the hammy, Sherrod, although he hasn't shit himself.

This whole rookie class looks pretty dissapoint thus far.

I said at the time of the draft that this looks like one of Thompson's worst, so far they look just like that.

On the flip side The offensive line and Lacy look faaaaantastic.

You mean other than the obvious: Aaron Rodgers and Eddie Lacy,

Davon House, Julius Peppers, DuJuan Harris, Scott Tolzien, Sitton/Lang Daniels MOST among vets,

A.J. Hawk, Sam Shields/Tramon Williams (cruising to avoid injury?). Bakhtiari (where the pass rush came quickest with the first team in), Sean Richardson (coverage), James Starks LEAST among vets.

Pennel, Janis, Elliot, D. Adams MOST among rookies,

A. Adams, Goodson, Bradford, Rolle LEAST among rookies.

There were a lot who were either just about what I expected or inconsistent/partly hot/partly cold or not enough to tell for sure or just plain irrelevant also.

I will answer based on perplexity, Lacy and Rodgers played great but that was expected. Perry and Datone were mild but that was also expected. So who played unexpectedly well or unexpectedly bad?

Most: Pennel, Rolle

Least: Sherrod, Clinton Dix

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
