He may have lost a step, but the guy does fit our system.. he is very physical at the point and can play straight up man.. I think you should queue the Jets footage.

It depends on what kind of jack he is looking for.. he could be a spot starter if need be.. but at this point probably nothing more than a nickel or dime.. but so be it.

Ask yourself this.. pivotal game later this year.. do you want Jared Bush or Ty Law on the field? Heck Ty Law or Patrick Lee or Blackmon?

That is my point.. he could be an upgrade to this team.. some say he isn't worth it because he isn't on a roster currently.. bring him in and work him out.. if he can play and is reasonable in contract terms.. sign his experience... it isn't like Bush is growing by leaps and bounds.

I see no reason to take Ty Law if he is not known as a press cover corner. We are not about to change what we are doing and signing a zone cover guy as little as we use it and as much as he will want to sign for I see as a bad move.

Sounds like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole to me. The guys good at what he does best but that's not what we do best. Besides, I hate zone pass coverage anyways. To me "zone" is where there is always somebody running wide open out there and the defenders are looking at each other wondering who the hell was supposed to be covering him.

I would rather have me playing then Jarrett Bush so that isn't a fair question. But as to the others I would rather have Lee or Blackmon or even Williams seeing as how Harris will be back soon. I just don't see it as a pressing need I guess. I love what we got. But that's just my opinion, not saying you are right or wrong.

I gotta go with 93 on this one. Bush or Law. at nickle back on 3rd down in a big game?

Law isn't my favorite player. I've actually always kind of disliked him. but his ball hawking ability is pretty special. Especially when i read his stats from the past 3 years. I mean thats pretty dang good numbers for a 37 year old cornerback.

Sign him as a vet min and try it out I say. It cant really hurt Bush or Blackmon or Lee's development I dont think and it may even teach them something. Plus hes kind of a mean player...and maybe we need a little mean out there.

Don't get me wrong.. I don't see it as the most pressing need.. but I don't know where this Ty Law can't play press has come from.. has he lost a step.. probably. And I have no clue to what his contract requests are....

I look at the bottom half of the roster as this.. if you can improve your depth without killing your potential, you improve your roster.

I don't see Bush as a developing player.. he very well may have plateaued already... and is a liability in coverage.. his only value is special teams. Now if you want to say, Law will hurt our special teams and shouldn't be added for that reason.. it very well may be valid.

Personally I think his game experience in the secondary would be a +.. it would give us 4 deep on solid cover guys. Lee is raw and Blackmon is average at this point at best.

There.. now I have wasted more time on this than the front office will probably spend on the guy..

I was thinking that yesterday.. we are lacking a attitude guy on defense.. Harris brings it a little.. but I mean a "nasty" type player on defense. Enforcer type.

Maybe Bigby can bring that too. But we all know Ty Law WILL bring that.

I dont wanna be a dirty team at all. but a couple big hits maybe a few message sender late hits wouldn't be the worst thing. just an overall sense of urgency or determination. Someone who says if you want the first down... your ass is gonna earn it.
