How many years would you like Ted Thompson to load up on D before we realize something is broken there? We have poured way too many resources into that sieve and gotten nothing, but that's what happens when you pour money down a sieve...nothing.

Too many failed first round defensive picks. No star power out of that round save for Clay and he's seemingly hurt and not playing at 100% or not playing at all. I think it is oft overlooked just how often Matthews plays but doesn't play up to capacity which is just as wasteful as him not playing at all.

The best thing that happened this offseason is Hawk and Jones have vacated the middle of our D. Those two marshmallows can go stay soft elsewhere.

I'd take a shot on a true superstar whether it be on O or D. We fail way too much with our 1st rounders. I hear people screaming HA HA...was he a star? He looks like he might be pretty good. I would trade Perry and Jones for a superstar in a breath.

Agreed...maybe I'm biased by wishful thinking that this will fail, but as I said above you're adding a guy with a reputation for not blocking to a running team that you just depleted their O-Line already to obtain this non-blocker.

He can be a hell of an offensive weapon, so maybe they just use him in the redzone and all I just said is moot. Additionally, to Uffda's point above, why are the Saints trading him? Do they know something the 'Hawks and the rest of us know. I know cap room is a part of this, and if whispers of Brees being traded are true, this will confirm that...but all of this still has an odd aura to it at the moment.

Shockingly, they have sent Kenny Stills to Miami for a LB who was set to be cut by the Dolphins. So, it won't be Kenny Stills leading the Saints. Bizarre goings on down in New Orleans.

Just saw that on NFL.com. OK, new prediction Stills will be Miami's leading receiver this year and NO won't have one. Well, they will have one but it will be a hug CF to see which one it is.
