I don't have time to do a paragraph for each player, so I did a sentence on potential targets for tonight. I'll also be providing instant reaction to each pick tonight at Row12.com. I'll post the exact link later.
I listed them based on the order of my board.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington -- Currently the top rated player on my board. See above
Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU -- I thought he was better on tape than Odell Beckham Jr. He's going to be underdrafted.
Marqise Lee, WR, USC -- Excellent fit in the west coast offense See above.
Kyle Van Noy, OLB, BYU -- Potential thumper inside. See above.
Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State -- I think he could be a nose guard in a 34. Think Jay Ratliff.
David Yankey, OG, Stanford -- Reminds me of Josh Sitton. Take him, move Lang to center.
Jeremiah Attaochu, OLB, Georgia Tech -- Light a fire under Nick Perry. He and Marcus Smith (Philly's round one pick) are similar players.
Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt -- Excellent fit in this offense. Good size, speed, and production. Won't last long tonight.
Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech -- A tight end that can move the sticks.
Louis Nix III, DT, Notre Dame -- A traditional nose guard.
Christian Jones, OLB, Florida State -- I'm big on Jones. I'd love to see the Packers target him as their ILB.
Jared Abbrederis, WR, Wisconsin -- He dominated Bradley Roby (Denver's first-round pick) this season.
Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State -- Great fit in this offense. I'd bank on him being there more than Lee or Matthews.
Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State -- Two productive seasons under Bill O'Brien. I listed him as a Packer target in my divisional preview above.
Daquan Jones, DT, Penn State -- He's a five technique target in a 3-4. Plus, Ted Thompson may want to troll announcers, who'll confuse him with Datone Jones.
Marcus Robinson, CB, Florida -- Undervalued day two cornerback. Could even slide into day three.
Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss -- We covered him in this thread. Good production against SEC cornerbacks.
Jack Mewhort, OT, Ohio State -- Can play all five offensive line positions. Packers value versatility.
Chris Smith, OLB, Arkansas -- Developmental OLB.
Carl Bradford, OLB, Arizona State -- Same as Smith, though more boom or bust.
Troy Niklas, TE, Notre Dame -- Good blocker, but receiving skills are raw.
My best guess is they land Davante Adams in round two, Christian Jones in round three, and Troy Niklas with the comp. pick.
