It seems like the odds of winning once your in the playoffs is just about as good for a low seed that has gotten on fire as it is for a team that got to rest and played at home.
I guess this is a testimony to the "any team that's in can win" theory.
However, a team can be 12-4 or 9-7 but if they roll into the playoffs beat up or say lost 2 out of their last three before the playoffs you can usually expect an early exit.
Get hot at the right time and just win, baby. You can be a playoff team but you have to be playoff ready. I thought last year the Packers were with all the bullshit injuries and had Neal and Shields not gone down on top of Mathews, Jolly, I think we would have beaten the 49'rs and from there who knows?
I liked the heart of the team. Talent wasn't always there when they started going down like flies but there wasn't any quit in them.
