Yeah, there's no way to no for sure. But that's what teams pay their talent evaluating staff for. They have to trust their opinion that is backed by lots of research, or they shouldn't be on the payroll. It's their job to predict a players success. So if there is a strong belief player A will be better than player B, they gotta go with player A, in my opinion. As I said earlier, if they are right in their evaluation, they will not only be proved correct in time, but will look like geniuses (or at least very good talent evaluators). That's obviously very difficult to do though, but that's why a team has to trust their board.
