If Mike Neal came from any other team, y'all would say this is a terrible signing.

Ugh.

Neal hasn't done crap until this year, even then he is still a one dimensional player who can't cover.

Ted wants Dom fired, clearly.

I might be in the minority, but I think this is a smart deal for the Packers. This will be his second offseason to prepare as an OLB. If nothing else for depth (with our injury prone LB corp).

His first year was pretty good, considering he was making the transition from DT. The guy had 30 QB hurries and 5 sacks. Not bad for a player who wasn't expecting to be a full time starting OLB.

I would rather Mike Neal than DeMarcus Ware, not based on talent, but the cost. Ware has hit his ceiling and if Mike Neal can stay healthy, he might raise the roof. Depending on the contract details, I'm glad Neal is staying. I don't think this made the team better, but I do think not having Neal made the team worse.

One question I have is Mike Neal gonna be playing outside linebacker or is gonna be moved back to the defensive line? The Packers are reportedly trying to mold personnel into Dom Capers "image" and Neal on the line would make more sense then.

"I still think the best thing, in my opinion, that Mike Neal does is rush from a '3' technique, particular in third down in the sub package," head coach Mike McCarthy said. "I think he's a real force in there."

If our pass rushing rotation was Matthews, someone else yet to be acquired, Perry and Neal I think we would be in good shape (if we stayed healthy... knock on every piece of wood in a 10 mile radius).

Mike Neal's contract -- Cap numbers are $3.75 million this year and $4.25 million in 2015.

The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
