I know we have all looked at many of these mock drafts and it's all a guess anyhow. Especially with Ted Thompson at the helm.

One thing I look at are all the players picked AFTER the Packers and one thing is obvious and that is no matter what player these guessers are predicting the Packers may select there are really good players still left that may actually be who Teddy takes.

This continues beyond Round 1 to Rounds 2 and three as well. After that I don't have enough knowledge of these guys or know enough about them.

They say though that this is the deepest draft in 10 years. That said with all of the FA's and players that most certainly won't be back I wonder how Ted Thompson will go about this.

I wouldn't doubt if he doesn't take advantage of the depth of talent and move back at some point to get more numbers. I know many here hate that move but with this many good players and the staff's ability to find highly productive guys in later rounds I could see it happening.

Whatever happens in that regards I think we will all be happy after 3 rounds because there are some really good players to be had no matter what team takes who ahead of us.

I try to stay on top of the combine, player updates and draft as much as possible. It gets insane. While it is right that this is the deepest draft the NFL has had in awhile, I really hope the Packers do opposite of what you have suggested and go the route they did in the 2009 draft. Now, it doesn't necessarily have to be going all in and grabbing blue chip prospects in the 1st round, but maybe draft in the 1st round and then trade up for two 2nd round picks. I'm no expert when it comes to the trade value of picks.

And if it is possible, I wouldn't mind seeing them jump up and somehow getting two 1st round picks...

The Justin Harrell pick was a surprise, but looking back, many of Ted's top picks are actually quite predictable.

Aaron Rodgers was pretty obvious, but only after he had fallen all the way dawn. But gus like BJ Raji, AJ Hawk, even Datone Jones were widely predicted beforehand.

One thing I'm noticing when looking over all these mocks is that it seems like GB is going to get someone who is need and BPA at 21. I've seen different mocks on different sites with Mosley, Nix III, Pryor, Clinton-Dix etc all going to us at 21.

The Bills have no 1st rnd pick.

The Bills are in need of a Safety with Byrd hitting the FA market.

Some have projected The Packers will have a shot a Calvin Pryor sitting at #21.

Get ready Packer fans, Trader Ted will be moving down in The draft, probably picking up The Bills 2nd and 3rd picks(and maybe a 7th) for that #21 pick.

The scenario fits right into Ted's wheelhouse.

I agree, would like to see Ted move down to get an extra 2nd and 3rd, then use that 3rd The Packers 4th to move up into the 2nd rnd(Cleveland a possibility), with them having 2 #1's.

That would give The Packers 3 2nd rnd picks.

Seems to me our biggest needs are inside linebacker and safety, and this is one poor draft for both positions at the top end of the draft anyway. Dix and Pryor are overated and Mosley won't be there. The Packers will stand pat and draft a defensive lineman, or surprise everybody and take a wide receiver if Jones is not resigned that is.

Sheeesh! Yeah, that trading down does sound like something Thompson would do, but it's a fucked up idea. We should move up, not down, if anything.

Solve Safety in free agency and ILB and OLB in the draft. And a big Raji/Nix size HELL NO to drafting another big lump in the first round.
