Sheeesh! Yeah, that trading down does sound like something Thompson would do, but it's a fucked up idea. We should move up, not down, if anything.

Solve Safety in free agency and ILB and OLB in the draft. And a big Raji/Nix size HELL NO to drafting another big lump in the first round.

Jones and maybe Sherrod. As for the second round success, I give him credit there, Lacy especially, but also he had the same kind of LUCK he had when Rodgers fell to him.

I'd rather have an athletic talented first rounder - maybe Mosely - than an extra 2nd, 3rd, and 7th pick. We need quality more than quantity.

My Bad, it's The Redskins who don't have a 1st rnd pick, damnit, they are also reported to be in need of a safety.

The scenario works for them also.

I agree, would like to see Ted move down to get an extra 2nd and 3rd, then use that 3rd The Packers 4th to move up into the 2nd rnd(Cleveland a possibility), with them having 2 #1's.

That would give The Packers 3 2nd rnd picks.

If you want Ted Thompson to make a couple of relatively impactful FA moves then trading back and getting more picks would be one way to navigate to an improved roster overall. He has to get to 53 somehow so why not use the draft with the boat load of talent there this year and an inexpensive way to get better and allow a REAL FA move or two.

I do not include James Jones and Raji in that retaining of our own because we have quality in place already at both WR and D-Line, and because Raji is worthless anyway.

I see your point about getting lower price talent in the draft, but we have the cap space - there's no good in wasting it, and generally, the lower you go in the draft, the more mediocre you get.

I want him to be aggressive in getting who he wants, but, open to that being an extra player or two with a trade down. Gotta hit though. We need immediate help with impact players, not projects. This draft does look deep enough to land a bunch with trades down, or up.
