I sure hope that Riley Cooper deal doesn't somehow effect Sam Shields. If a marginal player can get $5 million per year, Shields is probably gonna have to re-evaluate what he wants and most likely hit the $8 to $10 million per year range.
Then again, the Eagles have to pay people extra to play on that crap team.

Will be interesting to see what the UFA wr's sign for when free agency gets started, then The Packers will have a pretty good idea of what they are gonna have to spend to extend Jordy and Cobb.
I'm betting Ted will get Sam signed before March 11th, if he has to go 6-7 mil a year, it's well worth it.
Many have said 5 mil range is a steal, I have to agree.
