I've been too blinded by the poor results to remember that half the defense was injured. So I'm ok with Dom staying, but the fact that our strength and conditioning coach has yet to be replaced by a yoga coach is troubling to me.

Personally, I would rather they err on the side of caution and try to improve this part of the team, at any cost, since it has cost us dearly, and kept us from reaching our goals for the past 3 seasons. Hire a better staff in this department, and maybe we see some improvement. Of course there will be bone breaks and concussions that take players out. But, maybe they can try to make this part of our team better. Nothing done half assed, including pre-game warm-ups.
We lost Mike Neal for how many games with an abdominal strain? Casey Hayward, one of our very best new defenders as a rookie last year, out nearly the entire season with a hamstring. Morgan Burnett, out how many games with a hamstring to start the season? 3 games, on a team with major S problems. Jarrett Bush had a hammy. Brad Jones had a hammy. Both missed games this past season as a result. Starks with an ankle. James Jones with a knee. Perry with a foot.
How does your backup QB blow out a groin in his first series?
Those are all valuable misses, most due to a lack of proper conditioning and game time readiness. Dom Capers in not going to get fired, but he lost many valuable players to what I would consider to have been avoidable injury. How many games did that cost us?
