I agree Steve. Let's face it, ANY draft pick is an unknown. No matter HOW good the kid is in college, doesn't mean he will be good in the pros. It's ALL a crap shoot.
Look at Rodgers. He was thought to be the #1 pick, and he fell to 24 for the Packers to get.
How many #1 picks over the last 25 years ended up as busts?
Or late rounders ended up being great?
How many passed on Lacy, and now wish they had picked him? Alot, i would guess.
You can't take the playoffs for granted. Alot of teams consistantly miss the playoffs, and would LOVE just to get there. That's where the Packers were in the early 1990's when Favre got here. I, as a Packer fan, was just THRILLED to see them make the playoffs.
Now, we are so used to it, we are somewhat spoiled.
Imagine how the Buffalo Bills fans felt when they lost 4 Super Bowls. They haven't done much since then, and I bet they thought they would get back and win one.
They didn't.
