Aaron Rodgers out, Matt Flynn to start vs. Falcons

Green Bay will be without quarterback Aaron Rodgers for at least one more game.

The Packers have announced that Rodgers is out again on Sunday against the Falcons, the fifth full game he has missed since suffering a broken collarbone against the Bears.

Matt Flynn will start for the Packers and Scott Tolzien will back him up.

Well if that isn't a kick in the nuts. Not really surprised, but still sucks. Let's just hope that the time off works to everyone's benefit and they look like a pro team this week.

This may be what it takes to swing me over to the "shut him down for the season" club.

If Detroit wins this week - assuming the Packers lose to Atlanta, then forget it - write off the season and get a higher draft pick.

Flynn will have a short leash but he got all the starter reps this week. That should help. I worry about the line though especially with EDS and his ankle issue.
