There's a lot of good young safeties around the league, many of whom were not drafted very high. One way of looking at it is that we should have gotten some better quality at that position. The other way of looking at it is our DBs are being asked to do a lot of making up for deficiency in the front seven - inability to get a decent pass rush without a lot of blitzing, as well as inability to stop the run. Either way, I don't blame Capers or Perry or Whitt. I blame the guy doing the drafting and other procuring of personnel.
