I created this topic solely for the first tweet about Banjo and Jennings playing time. Holy hell it's like Jarrett Bush all over again.

There's a lot of good young safeties around the league, many of whom were not drafted very high. One way of looking at it is that we should have gotten some better quality at that position. The other way of looking at it is our DBs are being asked to do a lot of making up for deficiency in the front seven - inability to get a decent pass rush without a lot of blitzing, as well as inability to stop the run. Either way, I don't blame Capers or Perry or Whitt. I blame the guy doing the drafting and other procuring of personnel.

There's a lot of good young safeties around the league, many of whom were not drafted very high. One way of looking at it is that we should have gotten some better quality at that position. The other way of looking at it is our DBs are being asked to do a lot of making up for deficiency in the front seven - inability to get a decent pass rush without a lot of blitzing, as well as inability to stop the run. Either way, I don't blame Capers or Perry or Whitt. I blame the guy doing the drafting and other procuring of personnel.

I always though there wasn't that many great safeties league wide. I think it's one of the weaker position groups. There are very few teams that have 2 good starting Safeties and a good amount without any.

One thing I remember hearing the Seahawks front office say is they target players in the draft that are great at one particular thing and then adjust the scheme to fit that player's strengths. I like that philosophy.

Edit: An example is their safety Kam Chancellor.

I saw guys in position to make plays but didn't. We are also a 3-4 defense with one healthy OLB and he is a raw rookie named Nate Palmer.

Can we say CM3 cant play LBer with a cast on his hand ... let me put it this way - brad jones whom I Dont like at all - did better then CM3 ... cm3 cant even rap up his guys let alone make a decent tackle with one hand ... come on ... sorry clay but get your hand better and let someone else tackle.
