As it turns out, the Packers weren't being discreet about Aaron Rodgers' injury because they hoped to making a claim for the contract of former Packers backup Matt Flynn. Flynn, cut Monday by the Bills before Rodgers broke his collarbone, went through waivers unclaimed on Monday, a league source tells PFT. The Packers were low...

Just got an update/notification on my phone that the Packers are going to sign Matt Flynn, as long as he is healthy.

The update literally read: "Packers will sign free agent QB Matt Flynn if convinced he's healthy."

This source has proved to be quite reliable, as it gives me information on a lot of subjects around the NFL and it's usually right. But who knows. I wouldn't mind seeing Flynn back in here. He seemed pretty decent as a backup for us, and it's proven that he hasn't been able to handle a starting QB job. Perhaps he could be a career backup behind Aaron Rodgers.

I hope they sign him if they can verify that those elbow injury rumors aren't true. Cut God damn Wallace and throw him out like yesterdays trash. Start whoever seems best between Tolzien and Flynn. As much as I wish that, however, Thompson will probably keep Wallace.

Yeah, I've heard this too.

Apparently, the Packers have not "officially announced" they were bringing Tolzien up. So the word is, they're gonna check on Matt Flynn first.

DAMN I hope he's ok. Come see me Matt! Acupuncture will do wonders for that arm! (Got a similar thing in my shoulder. Scar tissue from baseball.)

The Jason Wilde article that is about Tolzien not being promoted to the 53 has my interest with Matt Flynn at a high level. I wonder how that's gonna go if they sign Flynn.

I don't know what to make of Flynn. He looked like he had promise when he was backup for Rodgers, but hasn't really shown much since he left. Maybe he just isn't a fit for these other teams that gave him a look? Different guys fit well into different offenses. Same story with Matt Cassel - he played a respectable season with the Pats, but fell short with the Chiefs.

With the current situation - if he is healthy/not injured - it wouldn't be a bad idea to at least consider him. He is familiar with the Packers offense which is more than they can say about most other options.

Once again Ted did the smart thing by acting uninterested, and waiting out the waiver process.

Let's hope Flynn's elbow issue is just "rumors".

A healthy Matt Flynn could take over for Seneca if he struggled this week.

Cutting Wallace is still a ridiculous idea, pretty sure The Packers Offensive gameplan will look a little different this week, but will benefit Seneca's strengths.( I know he didn't show much Monday, but he does have certain some skills that he does better than others)

If Flynn is healthy, give him a week to prepare and he should be able to guide The Packers until Aaron get's back.
