Our house is messy right now, McCarthy said, moments after absorbing a third straight defeat, two of them at Lambeau Field.

Theyre in trouble, said Dan Ramsey of Madison, one of the 70,616 who witnessed the latest setback that dropped the team below the .500 mark for the first time since the 2006 season. They cant seem to keep it together.

Disappointment was evident outside Lambeau Field late Sunday afternoon. But desperation didnt appear to be rampant.

Yes, theres trouble, said Leah Posada of Egg Harbor. But I wont give up, Packer fans never give up.

Nor do they run out of advice.

I dont think the ship is going down, said Jeff Daugherty of Sun Prairie. But they have a lot of problems with the defense. The secondary is pathetic and the linebackers didnt step up.

Jeremy Miller of Dunkerton, Iowa said it helped to remember that the regular season is only one-fourth completed and the Packers made it close at the end.

I think they battled back and didnt show any quit, Miller said. But he was one of several fans who said they expect quarterback Aaron Rodgers to play better, despite his three touchdown passes and 313 yards passing with a shoulder injury that hadnt completely healed.

There also was the expected reference to former quarterback Brett Favre.

Im still disappointed in management that they didnt give Brett one more year, said Martha Mabis of Baldwin in northwestern Wisconsin.

With his team out of first place in the North Division for the first time this season the Chicago Bears are 3-2 McCarthy sounded a warning to his team as he opened his post-game news conference.

We need to demand more, he said.

Again, few fans would probably disagree.

It's kind of funny that the three areas of the team that are criticized by fans in this article are the LB's, secondary, and QB. Along with the WR's, those have been our strongest units. The worst units have been the OL, DL, RB, and special teams (especially the punter). I'm glad the team is not run by fans--or the journalists who interview them.

This is how I feel

QB - We're ok
RB - Grant played well, if he keeps it up, no problem here
FB - Ok, haven't noticed much
WR - Very ok
TE - Dissapointing, Humpy should start
OL - Sucks ass
DTs - Completely useless against run
DEs - Without Jenkins to support Kampy, were screwed unless Pettway is a beast
MLB - Barnett needs to play better
OLBs - Hawk is good, I think we should've gone after a better OLB than Chillar in the offseason
CBs - Surpisngly good play, after Harris' injury
Safeties - We need Bigby back, then we got two great safeties.

Greg... agreed, those are the strongest units.. they see Roddy White catch all the passes and they point to the secondary.. count the beats Ryan had to throw the ball and you have your culprit. We aren't getting any push from the interior or KGB/Monty/Thompson, and they are chippin Kampman with about anybody in the area.

Again I will point to the Oline and the DLine as the source of our problems.. more so on the Oline and the offense being unable to sustain drives. I really wish we could pull the trigger on a trade for a olineman and start sitting these boys.. or if Sitton is ready to go.. throw him in there and start to show these guys the bench if their play doesn't improve.

But again.. we shouldn't be hitting the panic button at all.. but we certainly need to show intensity and improvement this weekend.
