With the Packer receivers decimated by injury, coach Mike McCarthy recently told his offensive line he plans to lean on them more than ever. That means a greater emphasis on running the ball — riding both running back Eddie Lacy and the quintet of offensive linemen.

As I have said they are doing a pretty good job but a lot of Lacy's yards on what he gets on his own.

Takes a solid o-line, one that has worked together the whole year, and a stable of RB's that can dish out a little pain to the defensive players when they have to tacke them.

The Vikings stopped the running game in the beginning, but you could see as the night wore on, the O-line blocks got better, and Lacy was dishing out the punishment.

By the time Starks came in, the Vikes d-line was a baeten bunch, all Starks did was add to the pain.

Stay healthy boys, and this teams running game will be #1 by the end of the season.

Does it strike anyone else as odd... that this offensive line has come along only after MM got directly involved with it?

Additionally.. it appears that MM also took the hint.. stay with the run, even if it struggles at first.. it will only make your team more complete and actually improve the passing game.

Stubborn as he has been.. lol.

I think the playcalling balance started last year. The second half of last year they were running quite a bit. Though I didn't like that as much because they weren't actually effective at it with Green in there. That's when the mentality changed though. I like it this year now that they can actually do it well.

Ted drafted some guys who don't run up the backs of their blockers.

Suddenly the blockers look way better.

I will believe in the revamped running attack when we start converting on 3rd and Short runs consistently.

Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : uh oh

Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : The method for measuring first downs in the NFL will switch from chain gangs to camera-based technology in 2025, the league announced.
