Coming off a concussion and lost his job to Fauria and the Lions needed his spot for another OT to help out their ailing tackles. Scheffler will get plenty of looks from other teams and probably push him too high for Ted Thompson to bite.

Does he bring more to the table than what we have? I think this is the perfect opportunity to see if Quarless has what the coaching staff thinks he has.

Starting Quarless or signing Scheffler seem to be the same risk but if Scheffler were to come at a low price, I don't see the harm in signing him.

Nope. No improvement over what we have now.

I guess I'm in the minority, maybe rightly so, but I don't have much faith in Quarless at all. He seems to be a strong run blocker, but I haven't been impressed by him as a threat in the passing game. Hopefully I'm wrong.

If you do bring him in, someone has to go.

Are The packers better off with Scheffler on the team compared to the current roster.

Doesn't mean you have to release a TE, but I don't see anyone currently on the roster who could be let go, that doesn't play a vital part in the makeup of the team.

Now if one of the guys injured get's put on ir, then then maybe you bring him in and see what he's got.

IMO if they bring him in, it would mean something is up and Finley would not likely be back this season. Otherwise I wouldn't expect him to be brought in. We won a SB with Quarless as a rookie. And Taylor should be back for MN or Chi.

Hell, send Stoneburner back to the the PS. Take a look at the dude.

I agree though, if they IR Finley, then for sure there's a spot for him.

Even if they do sign him, we still need Quarless to step up. I wanna see what Bostick has as well. Stoneburner is a pretty good special teamer, I saw him except on that ruffing the kicker, him making some plays or around the ball a lot. He reminds me of Ryan Taylor. I bet they IR Taylor or Finley.

I wanted to see Bostick at WR after all the WRs went down...

But if he doesn't get some playing time on offense with Finley and Taylor down... I'm gonna think he hasn't ad good showing in practice, which might mean we as fans might have a much higher rating than the coaches... and since they get to see and talk with them every day they probably know better than us.

As for Quarless... I have faith in him... as long as we're not asking him to catch the ball or avoid tattos. 👅 But some of his tats are very nice. I like the "family" one on his inner right arm.
