Green Bay - Packers S Jerron McMillian said he was fined $15,000 for a hit on Detroit TE Tony Scheffler Sunday that drew an unnecessary roughness penalty.

Appeal is just SOP. He deserved to be fined for that hit. It looked intentional to me, was terrible form and unnecessary.

He says it wasn't as bad as Iloka hit on Finley. I would say, the hit didn't make as much contact, but Iloka was much more incidental. He wasn't even going for a hit, he was beaded on the ball for and INT. McMillian better learn that is not how to play the game if he wants to stick around.

Same hit, same fine. Makes sense to me. While I don't think either one should have been fined them's the rules they play by now.

The hit on Finley did not look intentional, just one of the unfortunate things that happen in football. Although both hits were similar, McMillan's looked possibly intentional to me. Hard to argue this one in his favor. With that said I don't think either of these should have resulted in fines.

The league seems over the top this season with fines, and while some of them are well justified - sometimes they should take a step back and realize that football is full contact and accidental injuries WILL happen.

Does anyone have video of the play? I'm pretty sure I missed it. Did a quick Google and NFL.com search and couldn't find it.
