Last year we were playing solid and gave up an occasional explosive play.. this year we are getting handled up front because we are wearing down early because we don't have the rotation of guys along the defensive front.. additionally we are staying home on defense.. leading to sustained drives by the opposition compounded by the fact that we aren't control the ball on offense.

I would love to see the comparison of 3 and outs this year to last on offense.. it would be a landslide I would be willing to bet. We can't keep trotting our defense onto the field..

how did we do on 3rd down conversions last year offensively and defensively opposed to this year?

Also, while were at it, how did we fair in the total first downs? 🙂

So does that mean we were getting more first downs ON first and second down since the third down stuff seems to be equal??

We are second in the league in forced turnovers with 12 I believe. We are only behind the Titans in that category.

so as crumby as we are about losing games at least the d-line is doing some damage, that is a high light but it would be nice to win with those  i'm a little less grumpy now

What stat gave you any indication that our DL is playing above par? We just gave up nearly 200 yards rushing. That's a fairly direct result of poor DL play and the LB are right with them.

Defense is giving up on average 8 more points per game

1009 rushing yards allowed this year with 5.1 yards per carry

Last year?

507 rushing yards after 5 games and a 4.3 yards per carry

That means: Last year after 5 games we were 4 - 1 and after less than a third of this season we have already lost as much games as in the entire 2007/2008 season....

...sorry?... Oh, you knew about that?... aahhm... never mind... ::razz:

Have a nice day,

It was a tight game, and it swayed back and forth. And sure enough, he pulled out a victory at the end...
I swear to you, he smiled while he was doing it. He smiled til the end.
We’ll miss you, gunslinger.
